Hong Kong Association of Biotechnology in Chinese Medicine(HKABCM) is a non-profit-making organization registered in Hong Kong, China. Our members are professionals, enterprises, scholars, research institutes, students and businessman practicing and involving in biotechnology in Chinese Medicine, especially in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Individuals and entities from the Greater China Region and other countries having a keen interest in Chinese medicine are all welcomed to join us and share the connection and professional resources of our members. We actively support the development of Hong Kong enterprises and professionals in Biotechnology in Chinese Medicine through cooperation with governmental and non-governmental organizations in their related policies from different regions and countries.
- promote the interest and development of biotechnology in Chinese Medicine of Hong Kong, especially in the application of new technology in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM);
- raise the interest and right recognition of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the public for its great value in medical areas, upholding and sustaining the unique positioning of Hong Kong in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the world;
- support and assist professionals, academia, entrepreneurs and anyone interested in biotechnology in Chinese Medicine in their career development, R&D and business development, especially in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area;
- provide representation of professionals, academia, entrepreneurs and the Traditional Chinese Medicine related industries in their communications and interaction with related organizations, government bodies, academic institutions, medical entities or associations all over the world, including the Greater China Region;
- promote the common interest of enterprises in Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong, as well as their employees, especially in their business relating to the Chinese Mainland, responding actively and positively to the related policies of Hong Kong government and its implementation;
- seek and make use of available governmental assistance and economic resources for Hong Kong professionals, academia, research institutions and enterprises in biotechnology of Chinese Medicine;
- provide an interactive platform for professionals, academia and enterprises in Chinese Medicine with their counterparts inside or outside Hong Kong;
- encourage the studies, projects and researches on issues and topics relating to Biotechnology in Chinese medicine, facilitating the effective flow and exchange of information, technologies and professional resources; provide professional training and educational opportunities to professionals, academia and enterprises in Chinese Medicine.
Hong Kong permanent residents practicing or having an interest in Chinese medicine or related business; or corporations or companies or group of companies incorporated and/or registered in Hong Kong the business of which involves Chinese medicine or related business.
Any persons having interests in Chinese medicine or related business; or corporations or companies or any group of companies having interests in Chinese medicine.
Any persons having interests in Chinese medicine or related business and being currently enrolled as full time or part-time students in any one of the universities, post-secondary institutions, colleges recognized by Exco or any persons being enrolled in any subjects or courses with Chinese medicine or related contents, recognized by Exco.
